Are you also struggling with these problems?

In industrial applications where fast and frequent movements are required, long lift times impair efficiency and production speed.

In environments where access to lifting components is difficult, the need to make adjustments quickly and reliably leads to practical challenges.

When applications require quick adjustments to changing loads, it's difficult to ensure sufficient responsiveness with conventional drive products, such as hydraulics or pneumatics.

How to solve these problems with the High-Speed Screw Jack

Fast response time

The High-Speed Screw Jack KH offers fast responsiveness and precision to quickly adapt to changing loads. This ensures effective adjustment and control, even with shifting requirements

High-Speed Screw Jack in basic version

In the basic version, the output bevel gear is connected to a trapezoidal thread nut (optionally also with a ball screw nut). The nut, when rotated, exerts an axial force on the spindle.

High-Speed Screw Jacks allow for higher stroke speeds than conventional actuators. This is enabled by low reduction in the gear, robust construction, optimized lubrication conditions, variable thread pitches, and permissible input speeds of up to 3,000 RPM.

These standard sizes are available:
✔ KH090 up to 15 kN load
✔ KH140 up to 40 kN load
✔ KH230 up to 90 kN load

Achievable gear ratios are 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1. With gear ratios of 2:1 and 3:1, up to three additional output pinions can be mounted.

High-Speed Screw Jack in traveling nut version

In the traveling nut version, the output bevel gear is positively connected to the threaded spindle, transmitting the rotary motion. As a result, the rotating threaded spindle imparts linear motion to the traveling nut.

High-Speed Screw Jacks allow for higher stroke speeds than conventional Screw Jacks. This is made possible by low reduction in the gear, robust construction, optimized lubrication conditions, variable thread pitches, and permissible input speeds of up to 3,000 RPM.

These standard sizes are available:
✔ KH090 up to 15 kN (3.4 ton) load
✔ KH140 up to 40 kN (9 ton) load
✔ KH230 up to 90 kN (20.2) load

Achievable gear ratios are 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1. With gear ratios of 2:1 and 3:1, up to three additional output pinions can be mounted.

Unbeatable Advantages of a High-Speed Screw Jack by GROB

Check icon

Maximum Performance

Due to the fact that the bevel gear sets are made of case-hardened steel and feature high-quality spiral gearing with a very favorable engagement profile, even under high loads, smooth operation and precision are ensured. As a result, the High-Speed Screw Jack delivers balanced performance.

Check icon

Increased Efficiency

The overall efficiency of the GROB High-Speed Screw Jack is approximately 85% with ball screw spindles. The high efficiency in the gear system reduces heat dissipation, allowing for continuous operation at 100% capacity in a 3-shift operation.

Short Cycle Time

The bevel gear transmission can be equipped with gear ratios from 1:1 to 3:1. Combined with Ball Screw spindles and their pitches, stroke speeds of over 300 mm/s (709"/min) are easily achievable.

FAQs about High-Speed Screw Jacks

A High-Speed Screw Jack is a mechanical device that enables fast and precise linear motion. It's often used in applications with short strokes and high speeds.

What high-speed screw jacks are and where they are used chevron_right

High-Speed Screw Jacks are renowned for their rapid speed and ability to perform quick linear movements with short strokes, making them ideal for specific industrial applications.

They're utilized in areas such as automation technology, packaging industry, and production lines where fast and precise movements are necessary.

  1. Cubic & Classic: primarily external differences. A matter of personal preference regarding which one is preferred. Performance data is nearly identical.
  2. High-Performance Screw Jack: Standard up to 3000rpm input speed, with oil filling and cooling fins - explicitly higher dynamic load capacity.
  3. High-Speed Screw Jack: explicitly high dynamic capability, but load capacity decreases to a maximum of 90kN.

Maintenance involves regular lubrication according to manufacturer specifications. Inspections for wear and timely re-lubrication are crucial for longevity.
